The Water Resources Management Division’s Directorate is responsible for the oversight of public awareness programs that seek to raise the public’s understanding of water supply resilience and extraction for livelihood and commercial purposes and on risk management and mitigation of water related natural hazards. Working closely with the Division’s Hydrology and Hydrogeology Sections, the Directorate ensures that the public, including communities and companies are provided with up to date information and data to make informed decisions and that effective early warning systems are in place so that they will be in a position to prepare and respond effectively to natural hazards such as floods.
