The project is basically to assist low-income households connect to the Solomon Power system by partly subsidizing the cost of initial connection. Total financing for the project is from the Global Partnership Output-Based Aid (GPOBA) administered by the World Bank. GPOBA funds in turn will leverage US$545,000 from Solomon Power and US$235,000 from household beneficiaries.
